Sunshine Ace Hardware’s fourth annual Bonita Ladies Night Out drew hundreds of women from across Southwest Florida for a festive event that raised nearly $2,000 for Brooke’s Legacy Animal Rescue, a local nonprofit volunteer animal adoption agency.

Held Nov. 14 at Sunshine Ace Hardware in Bonita Springs, “Heels, Hounds and Hardware” featured a lively fashion show with models sporting men’s and women’s clothing labels available in Sunshine Ace stores, along with food samples, wine tasting and product demonstrations. The first 100 women in line also received complimentary gift bags stuffed with items valued over $100, and all attendees received a 20% discount on purchases made during the event, including holiday gifts and accessories.

Bonita Ladies Night Out benefited Brooke’s Legacy Animal Rescue. Attendees could purchase raffle tickets to win one of 23 gift baskets, and for a $1 donation, they could cuddle with puppies that soon will be up for adoption. Volunteers also collected donations to help pay for medical care for a chihuahua, Boo, who recently had surgery to remove cancerous tumors.

“We are incredibly thankful that Sunshine Ace Hardware again chose Brooke’s Legacy Animal Rescue as its nonprofit beneficiary for Bonita Ladies Night Out,” said Founder Tink Bechtol. “The associates at Sunshine Ace went above and beyond to make this a successful event, and proceeds will help give more animals another chance in life.”
