Sunshine Ace Hardware has renewed its commitment to ensuring the long-term health of Florida’s marine environment by extending its support to Coastal Conservation Association Florida.

Sunshine Ace, which has supported CCA for many years, sponsored the organization’s sold-out annual fundraising banquet on May 22. The event included dinner, live and silent auctions, raffle prizes and opportunities to learn more about CCA’s work.

Founded in 1985, CCA’s Florida chapter includes recreational anglers and outdoor enthusiasts focused on conserving and enhancing the state’s marine resources and coastal environments. The organization advocates for fisheries management that keep fish stocks sustainable and abundant, as well as education programs that develop public support for the habitat and environmental restoration.

“As a community partner, it’s important to lend our support to organizations focused on protecting and enhancing our coastal environment,” said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. “That’s why we have supported CCA for so many years. The organization has a history of conservation and has stepped forward as a leader to protect our water quality and natural resources.”

CCA has focused its recent efforts on restocking coastal waters following massive fish kills in 2018 while also developing solutions for red tide and water quality issues that are impacting coastal waterways.

“Sunshine Ace is more than just a generous hardware store, it’s a family-owned business dedicated to the community,” CCA Florida Executive Director Brian Gorski said. “We’re grateful for its generous donation to our Naples Chapter Banquet because continued support from partners like Sunshine Ace ensures our efforts to enhancing and protecting Florida’s fisheries can benefit folks today and generations tomorrow.”
