Sunshine Ace Hardware has promoted two of its associates, Jason Falcone and Serina Gomez, to district manager positions overseeing south and north regions.

Family-owned and operated since 1958, Sunshine Ace has grown to include nine hardware locations in Collier, Lee, Charlotte and Pinellas counties, as well as Sunshine Commercial Paint & More in Naples, two Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware stores in Manatee County and two Crowder’s Gifts & Gadgets shops in Manatee County. The company recently announced plans to build a new hardware store in North Naples.

“Sunshine Ace has grown to become one of Florida’s largest family-owned home improvement retailers,” said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. “With that growth comes a need for strong leaders to help position our company for the future while not forgetting what brought us to this point – exceptional customer service, people-focused culture, convenience, great prices and a wide selection of quality products.”

District managers are responsible for development of long-range, annual and short-term performance plans for each store, as well as talent development and adherence to Sunshine Ace’s core values.

Falcone will serve as district manager for southern stores, which covers Sunshine Ace Hardware locations in Collier and Lee counties, as well as the commercial paint store. Falcone joined Sunshine Ace in 2019 and served as manager of the Downtown Naples store.

Prior to his current position, Falcone held roles as a store manager for Total Wine & More, Harris Teeter Neighborhood Food & Pharmacy, Sweetbay Supermarket and Walgreens. He also was a store director for Lucky’s Market. He is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University.

Gomez will serve as district manager for northern stores, which includes Sunshine Ace Hardware locations in Charlotte and Pinellas counties as well as Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware and Crowder’s Gifts & Gadgets in Manatee County. Gomez joined Sunshine Ace in May as a leader-in-training.

Prior to joining Sunshine Ace, Gomez was a district manager for Starbucks. Prior roles include retail district manager for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, district manager for Men’s Warehouse and Afterhours Formalwear, and regional manager for Things Remembered. She is a graduate of Strayer University-Maryland and Normandale Community College.
