Sunshine Ace Hardware donated $4,000 to Children’s Miracle Network following a successful three-day Grand Opening Celebration for its new retail store at Founders Square in North Naples.

Held June 23-25, the event kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony through the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and featured giveaways, product demos, an outdoor barbecue party and exclusive discounts. Customers who made a $5 donation to Children’s Miracle Network received five-gallon Ace Hardware buckets, which they could fill and receive a 20% discount on nearly everything they could fit inside. That initiative raised $2,000, which Sunshine Ace then matched, to bring the total donation to $4,000.

“This is a prime example that demonstrates the impact of our collective power,” said Sunshine Ace President Michael Wynn. “We sold 400 buckets that weekend, which averages to one bucket every five minutes we were open. Those donations, just $5 at a time, will help enhance pediatric care across the region.”

Local donations to Children’s Miracle Network support Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida and help cover the costs of patient services for children and families, charitable care for patients lacking sufficient funds or insurance, and education programs for patients, families and the community. Donations also allow the hospital to purchase life-saving equipment and provide advancement services for innovative programs and projects.

Since declaring Children’s Miracle Network as its primary charitable partner three years ago, Sunshine Ace has raised $288,272 through a series of fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
