Sunshine Ace Hardware raised $95,000 for two local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, through a series of successful fundraising campaigns in 2020.

The locally owned company has supported Children’s Miracle Network for many years, but for 2020, Sunshine Ace designed the nonprofit as its “primary charity partner” in alignment with the national Ace Hardware initiative. Fundraising campaigns included multiple “Round Up for the Kids” charitable campaigns, the Blue Bucket Days campaign and a fundraising lunch at the Fifth Annual “Reel in the Sunshine” fishing expo. As a corporation, Ace Hardware has raised more than $122 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since becoming a corporate partner in 1991.

“One of our core values is ‘Care for your Neighbor, said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. Our generous customers and associates have always stepped up to help charitable causes and community-based organizations, and 2020 – despite so many challenges – was no exceptionTheir donations will help provide lifechanging, world-class health care to children up and down Florida’s west coast.”
